Prof. Luciano Floridi’s research concerns primarily the Philosophy of Information, Information and Computer Ethics, and the Philosophy of Technology.
His lifetime project is a four-volume work on the foundation of the philosophy and ethics of information. The first two have already been published by Oxford University Press: The Philosophy of Information and The Ethics of Information. The Politics of Information is in progress, and The Logic of Information will appear in the future. He is a member of the EU’s Ethics Advisory Group on Ethical Dimensions of Data Protection, of Google Advisory Board on “the right to be forgotten”, and Chairman of the Ethics Advisory Board of the European Medical Information Framework.
