Prof. Harald Oberhauser

Harald Oberhauser is an Associate Professor of Stochastic Analysis in the Mathematical Institute, a tutorial fellow at St. Hugh’s College, and an Associate Member of the Man-Institute for Quantitative Finance. He works on new mathematical approaches that can be used for statistical learning of systems that evolve under the influence of randomness. More generally, he is interested in using recent ideas that had an impact in theory to machine learning problems, and vice versa, use concrete problems or algorithms as motivations to develop a rigorous mathematical approach to learning.
